Our Practices

Fjord Forestry is based in the market town of Wimborne and serves the surrounding towns of Dorset – including Poole and Bournemouth. Living in this beautiful area has made us passionate about keeping our practices as green as possible. For this, we only use battery powered tools and equipment to help reduce petrol emissions and noise pollution, benefitting both the customer and the environment. Any waste we accumulate will be disposed of in a sustainable manner and we will always perform a meticulous clean-up after every job, no matter the size.

Affordability is at the heart of everything we do and our team offers budget-friendly hourly and daily rates to suit every project. Lower prices don’t mean a decrease in quality and we take pride in our first-rate workmanship. Our Team

We have four permanent staff members, all specialising in different areas of arboriculture:

Peter Booker: As CEO, Peter is responsible for much of the administration involved with our day to day running. He is always on the other end of a phone for any clients needing advice or guidance. As well as being our company director, Peter is also an NPTC-qualified climbing arborist, with a background in ecology, forestry and conservation.

Dan May: Dan is our Poole team leader and a qualified aerial rigger. He has a background in mechanics and marine engineering and uses his experience with machine maintenance to ensure our equipment is in full working order. As an NPTC-qualified climbing arborist, he is able to perform an extensive range of tree surgery and maintenance work.

Jed Kirk: Jed is an experienced member of our team with a background in groundskeeping. As a climber in training, he is familiar with many areas of tree maintenance.

Pete Butler: Pete is a chemical expert and has been a climber for over a decade. His years of experience means he has a wealth of expertise to offer every project. He also runs his own weed killing business in the summer, so is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of garden maintenance.
